AWOL

 Hi friends

Apologies for my absence. I had a lovely relaxing break in Spain and was pleased we came home when we did and missed out on the PCR test, but we did have to do a Lateral Flow Test once home and we were not allowed to use the NHS ones, we had to purchase them!

Anyway, I have nothing to share with you all today, but I have been busy creating Christmas crafts and other bits and I will share them with you once I have taken photos etc.

Have a great rest of the week and I'll be back over the weekend.

The tutorial by Ruth Hamilton and you can find it HERE, I didn't realise how easy they are to make! The image is precoloured called Sunshine of Tulips which you can purchase from HERE - I do like a nice tulip!

Azalea Digi Stamp - Beccy's Place for Through the Craft Room Door Design Team

 Hello Friends

Today I am sharing my creation for the Through the Craft Room Door design team and this week we are sponsored by the amazing Beccy Muir from Beccy's Place where you can win AU$10 for her store, there are so many images to choose from. So I look forward to seeing your creations for this weeks Anything Goes challenge.

I had a lot of trouble choosing an image to use, so here is my creation...

I used the following to make this easel calendar card, I used Beccy's Place Azalea image which you can find here. To make the easel card I used a 6x6 card bland and just turned the top half in half, so easy, I coloured the image with Promarker's onto Neenah Classic card, the papers are from a very old paper pad by Basic Grey called Boxer, the sentiment is from Lili of the Valley. I got the calendars from The Range and everything else from my stash.

I hope to see you all join in with the challenge and see you all soon.

I used a 6x6 card blank and the stamp I've had for years and is still one of my favourites. It's from Stampendous - Snowy Postcard Stamp, I stamped it with Memento ink pad- Lady Bug colour, the papers are from Craft Sensations - vintage style glitter pad, Make & Create sentiment stamp, ribbon and bling from stash.

Fantasy Fairy Card

Hello friends and visitors,

Has anyone else noticed the amount of Blog challenges that are closing, it's rather sad, but can totally understand the amount of work that goes into running one! Let's hope new one's pop up.

Anyway, I'm sharing a card that I made a few weeks ago using Arteza watercolour pens and here it is...

I used Arteza watercolour pens and smooshed them onto watercolour card, once dried I added the stamps and sentiment and added it onto a die cut shape, I also used glitter on the fairy wings (sadly this is not very clear!). Another card I really enjoyed making.

Thank you for taking the time to visit and I'll see you all soon.

Henry - Mushroom Bear a Crafty Sentiment Design

Hello friends and visitors

So I'm sitting at my desk and it's pitch black at 4.30pm, I so hate these dark autumn nights, crafting is even more difficult! Anyway so before it got too late I made a card for several challenges and here it is...

I was lucky to win the Cutie Pie challenge recently and the prize was 3 Digi images from Crafty Sentiment Designs and this was one of the ones I chose. How cute is Henry sitting on a mushroom? I really enjoyed colouring him up and putting the card together. So to make this card I used the following:

Henry - Mushroom Bear which you can find here
Coloured with Promarker's onto Neenah Classic card
The papers are from a very old pad by Basic Grey called Olivia
The flowers are Hunkydory Fabulous Flowers.

Thank you for taking the time to visit and see you all soon.

Fairy House

 Hello friends and visitors

A big thank you for all the kind comments on my last card, they were lovely to read. It's my SIL 50th birthday next week and we're all going out tonight to celebrate - so I'm looking forward to a lovely meal out at Miller and Carter.

I've something different to share with you all today. I've had this blank fairy house from The Works for a good few years and decided to decorate it. I'm really pleased with how it's turned out and now to do the other three I have! Anyway here it is...

So to make this which was a wooden colour, I removed the door and metal bits and painted the door and plinth with white acrylic paint. I cut round some paper from Lili of the Valley which I've had for years. The fairies welcome sign, mushroom, pink bow and the cute little fairy came from a website and I wish I could remember where, as I want to buy more, all the other embellishments came from my stash. Once I put it all together, I placed white felt on the bottom of the plinth and the back of the frame and door to finish it off. Now to do the others for Christmas presents for the four 3 year olds that I buy for.

Thank you for taking the time to visit, have a great weekend and I'll see you all soon.

Whimsy Dreams Clipart - Wildflowers

Hello friends and visitors

I had a lovely few days dog sitting Dora the Dachshund, who is completely mad! I haven't done any cardmaking since I've been home, I've taken up another crafty hobby - I'm into cross stitching, I'm finding it very therapeutic, I've started off doing a few easy things and managed to find a few freebie patterns. I'm going to turn some of them into cards, so watch this space.

Anyhow, I have a card to share that I made a few weeks ago and here it is...

To make this card I used a 7x7 card blank, Whimsy Dream Clipart image called Wildflowers which you can find here, coloured with Promarker's onto Neenah Classic Card, the sentiment is a stamp from Inkylicious which you can find here, sorry not sure where the papers are from and embellishments and ribbon from stash.

Thank you for taking the time to visit and any comments left are lovely to read, have a great week and see you soon.

Sunflower in a Pot - Conie Fong

Hello friends and visitors

It's been a sad week here in 'Sunny Southend' with the murder of Sir David Amess MP, he wasn't my MP, I live on the wrong side of the tracks! I used to see him shopping and he would stop and chat to me or just give me that big smile of his, he was such a lovely person, no one regardless of their politics, religion or beliefs should have to die the way he did. However, the tribute that has been given to Southend in his memory is that we are now a City, which he always campaigned for. RIP Sir David.

Anyway, I'm sharing a card today using a Conie Fong image which I really like. I like the clean lines it has and really enjoyed colouring this one in. So here it is...

To make this card I used a DL card base, Conie Fong image which you can find here and is in her sale, the sentiment is included with the image. I coloured the image using my Promarker's onto Neenah Classic card, the dies are from Ebay and some clear embellishments.

Have a great week and thank you for visiting any comments are always lovely to read,

Papermania - Bauble Decoration

Hello friends

I know I've been AWOL, but I have a really good excuse! I spent 11 days in Trearrdur Bay, North Wales, looking after a friends dog. The weather was pretty awful, cold, rain and wind. So please accept my apologies for not getting to see your blogs and commenting, I will catch up. Anyway, I have a card to share with you today and here it is...

So I used a very old, 8+ years stamp and embossed it using white embossing powder (I still need more practice on this technique.) This is one of my favourite Christmas stamps, but I've always had trouble stamping with it! So I decided to take it off the wooden mount and attach it to some EZ Mount and then used my Vaessen Stamp Easy to stamp the card, so much better. I embossed the sentiment using a red glitter embossing powder and attached it to red card and then raised it off the card which I must admit is pretty awful, I need to invest in a plain red one. The sentiment does say Christmas Cheer! I mounted it all on to red card and then raised it on to a white 5x7 card blank and used white glitter embellishments dotted about.

Thank you for taking the time to visit and have a great rest of the week and I'll see you all soon.

Oddball Art Co., - Digi Stamp Panties In A Bunch Creepy Cute Set of 4

Good evening friends and visitors

               Oddball Art Co,

This evening I am sharing sharing my post for Through the Craft Room Door design team. Today we are showcasing designs from Oddball Art Company where they specialise in 'Creepy cute STAMPS for your ghoulish crafting needs all year round!' You can win a $10 voucher for their store. We are an 'Anything Goes' challenge and we would love if you could join in with us. I have chosen to use Digi Stamp Panties In A Bunch Creepy Cute Set of 4 Image. I have really gone out of my comfort zone for this challenge and have made three items and here it is...

For this I have made a card using papers from my scrap box the image is coloured with Promarker's and I have put the sentiment on to sticky pads to raise it.

For the pillow box I created it using the We R Memory Keepers Pillow Box Punch Board, I created my own background paper using the images and sentiment and used a single image of the pants. I thought I could put a pair of panties in the box as a gift!

I then made a keyring using Shrink Art Frosted Shrinkles. I printed the image onto the Shrink Art, I wasn't sure if it would work, I then coloured the image with children's small pencils and used my heat gun to shrink it and then added a keyring attachment.

I hope you like what I have made and any comments are always lovely to read.

Crafter's Companion embossing folder

Elisabeth Bell - Daisy Stamp

Hello friends

I hope every one had a good weekend, I spent yesterday crafting and binge watching TV! It was lovely and relaxing. I'm very lucky that my desk is in front of the window and I have a great view of the estuary or affectionately known as the river Thames, why the Victorians decided to call it Southend-on-Sea!

Anyway, I'm sharing a white on white card with you today, there's not much to it, but this is one of my favourite stamps by Elisabeth Bell and I thought I would dig it out and give it a colour. So here is Daisy...

She is such a cutie and I used a 6x6 card base, the stamp was just stamped onto smooth card, nothing special, I wanted to keep the whites all the same. I used Promarker's to colour her. The sentiment is from an old Kaisercraft set.

Enjoy your week everyone and I'll see you all soon.

I've used a stamp that I've not inked up, but had for at least 10 years... (Note to self  must use my unused stamps!) Guest Designer Today - Jaxon

Hello friends

Today my blog is being taking over by my friends son. Meet Jaxon who is 6 years old and loves to craft! I must say I am biased and he is very good at crafting! Over the school holidays I gave him some crafty bits to keep him a bit busy and he has made a beautiful card for his cousin, who he will be seeing over the coming weekend - it's party time at Primrose's! So meet Jaxon...

He has made a card using an image from a Lili of the Valley Art Pad which he placed onto Polka dot paper, red star embellishment's, a wooden tag which he has coloured and written his cousins name and an A6 Kraft card base. He had to get his mum to tie the ribbon for him, but he did say 'it wasn't as good as his Nana's'  lol. So the boy has talent and it's great to see the youngsters crafting and not spending time watching TV and playing computer games. I think I have some serious competition!

It would be lovely for Jaxon to see some lovely comments from my blog friends - so if you can please leave a comment. Thank you!
