Seven Deadly Sins - Pride

Good evening friends, I hope everyone is well? So who is watching the Olympics? I have a few bags under my eyes! Team GB are doing amazingly well at the moment and there is more to come. The weather here in 'sunny Southend' is a bit hit and miss, but so much cooler, which is good as I'm crafting through the night. Anyway I have made a few cards and here is one of them....

I have made this card using the following:
6x6 card blank
Bildmalarna - Seven deadly sins stamp this one is 'Pride' (I have 5 in this set and was disappointed that I couldn't get the other two, I'll keep checking Ebay!)
Which is coloured with Promarker's on to Neenah classic card.
The papers are from Basic Grey which I've had for years - Indian Summer
The sentiment is from a Lili of the Valley stamp you can buy the Digi stamp here
The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts
Ribbon and embellishment's from stash.

A lot of my cards that I am making are using up old stamps and paper which I've had for years!

Thank you for taking the time to visit, I would like to say a special thank you to Meg who always makes the time to comment, they are much appreciated.

Enjoy the rest of your week and see you all soon!

Best Friend

Hello everyone

I hope everyone is well and those in the UK have enjoyed their first day of proper freedom! So I'm off to a craft beer and pizza night on Wednesday with the other half and his sister and her husband, it'll be the first time we've all seen each other since way before Christmas. So looking forward to it!

I had a birthday on the 15th and didn't get loads of crafty bits... boo hoo, but I did get a new craft lamp and it's brilliant.

Anyway, I have spent today making a card for my friend who has been very supportive to me recently, too long to explain. Hope she likes it. So here it is...

To make this card I used the following, 6x6 card blank, a Bildmalarna image ( I do miss their stamps) coloured with Promarkers, Lili of the Valley sentiment, check card is a left over piece, the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, dies are unbranded and everything else from my stash.

Have a great week and see you soon.

Happy 4th Birthday!

Good morning blog friends and visitors.

I'm on countdown now as my shielding finishes on the 31st March. It's been a long year and I'm so looking forward to doing my own food shopping, but still staying safe. It'll be great to visit friends even if it's in their gardens. So not long now.

Anyway, I have a card to share with you all, this card I made for my great niece who will be 4 on the 1st April and she loves horse riding! So I thought this is a great image for her. So here it is...

To make this I used a 7x7 card blank, Simply Print image from Lili of the Valley which can be found here. Spellbinder die, number and happy birthday die are unbranded, heart embossing folder (it could be papermania!) Flowers are Trimcraft and Wild Orchid Craft roses and everything else is from my stash.

Have a great weekend and a big thank you for all the lovely comments on my last two cards, I'm amazed how many of you took the time out of your busy lives to visit.

Stay safe, Debbie x

01 February 2021

Wow, it's February!

 Hello friends,

Well can you believe it we're into February and it didn't seem that long ago we were waiting for the big man in red! Still no snow in 'sunny' Southend, plenty of wind and rain, luckily we're stuck in! I must admit I'm struggling with this current lockdown, I'm so missing my family and friends. It's my niece's birthday this month and my mojo decided to go missing, so I cased a card I made a few years ago. I'm pleased with it.

I can show the card as my niece doesn't look at my blog and here it is...

So I used the following to make this:

6x6 card blank.
Papers are Trimcraft, First Edition 'Love Letters'.
Lili of the Valley Art Pad, unfortunately, I can't find this image in their Etsy shop.
Lili of the Valley sentiments and you can find them HERE.
Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
The wonky stitched die is unbranded.
Pearls, charm and ribbon from stash
Tim Holtz distressing tool.

Thank you for taking to the time to visit, stay safe!

A Quick Card!

Hello Again

It's been a beautiful, but a windy day here in sunny Southend. I've been on a bit of a roll making cards and looking out for my Amazon deliveries! I had a birthday a couple of weeks ago and got some vouchers to spend at Amazon, so I added to my Promarker collection, bought some new cutting dies and different types of card. I also purchased some watercolour pencils to have a try at that type of colouring, which I have been doing this afternoon, I really liked it, so may need to add to the collection.

Anyway I have a lot of birthdays coming up and so I need to add to my box ready to send out. So here is a quick birthday card I made using a pre-coloured image. Here it is....

The image is 'Time for you Girl' - Floral by Lili of the Valley which you can purchase from here, the sentiment tags are also Lili of the Valley which you can also find in their Etsy Shop. The paper is from an old pad I had, the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the dies are Spellbinders, ribbon from my local haberdashery shop and the bling is from my stash.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and stay safe everyone.

Decorated Wooden Heart

Hi Friends

Where has the last month gone? I can't believe it's been that long since my last post. I put it down to being away for most of the holidays and not getting any crafting done!

Anyway I did manage to make this decorated wooden heart. I made this for myself which makes a change as normally I give most things away. Anyway I hope you like it.....

The details are:
The heart came from The Works.
The flowers mostly came from Wild Orchid Crafts.
The wooden love also came from a set from The Works which I coloured with a Promarker.
The spirals and pearls are from Aliexpress.
My favourite sentiment is an Inkylicious one and I love it!
The paper is from an old Papermania one and is 8x8.

Well I hope you all like it.
Have a great weekend.
Hugs Debbie x

Watering the Roses

Good Morning, you may have noticed I've given my blog a bit of a makeover. I found this background and thought it was apt, as I'm a Type 1 diabetic. You would think in this day and age that we would have a cure for this awful disease. Hopefully one day soon!
Anyway on to my card that I've made and isn't this image so cute? It's a Stampavie one by Penny Johnson - Little Tobi Watering the Roses. So here it is.

LOTV - Blossom

Hello Peeps,  I know it's been a while and I know I'm a useless blogger. I have lots of reasons for not posting, but it would take a lifetime to tell you and I think we would all rather make some cards.
Also I've heard a rumour that we are expecting some summer weather this weekend, what do you think, are those pigs flying yet?
Anyway now that my mojo is back I've managed to make some cards recently and I have one to show you today and here it is.

I so adore this image from Lili of the Valley and it's the first time I've inked her up. I treated myself to the Tim Holtz - on the edge doily die and I love it and think it works perfectly with this card.

Ingredients Used Are
Lili of the Valley Image coloured
with Promarkers
Lucy Cromwell Papers from Papermania
Nesties and Memory Box Dies
Flowers and Ribbon Wild Orchid Crafts
Pearls and Cute button from stash

I hope you all like the card and I have a new motto 'I must do better with blogging and try and blog more often'. Have a great weekend friends and thank you for sticking with me.

Daisy

Hello friends I hope you are all keeping well? I really don't know where the time goes! I've been so busy with work recently that I've not had a lot of time to myself. Anyway I did find time to make this card for my buddy Leigh Jones aka Charity Crafter, it was her birthday last week.

This stamp has got to be one of my favourites of all time and I was so pleased that Elisabeth Bell decided to license it to Elphine House after she withdrew her stamps from Sugar Nellie. I purchased the stamp from Elphine House which cost appx £10 inc postage, which was a lot cheaper than what the stamp was going for on Ebay!

So on to the card.........

Recipe
Elisabeth Bell stamp 'Daisy'
coloured with Promarkers
Papers are Wild Rose Studio
Flowers Wild Orchid Crafts
Marianne Designs Die
Xcut Butterfly Punch
Cuddly Buddly Sentiment Stamp
Ribbons, gems, pearls and stick pin all from stash

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Have a great week,
