My Colouring is Pants

Good Evening

So my first proper post with a card that I have made and I must say my colouring is pants! I didn't realise how bad it was, just goes to show that when you don't make things constantly you tend to forget how it's done, so more practice is needed!

So here is my really bad attempt....

This is such a cute stamp from Lili of the Valley called 'Dressed Up' which you can buy from the LOTV outlet shop on Etsy here. Other items I have used are Promarkers, Make & Create 'Sweet Garden Roses' paper pad, the die is a Marianne Creatables, Hunkydory Moonstone 'fabulous flowers, Lawn Fawn sentiment die and the ribbon is from my local haberdashery shop.

Hello

Hi, it's definitely been a while since we all last met! Nearly 3 years have passed, which seems a lifetime. So a bit about what has been going on in my life. I gave up cardmaking for a couple of years, I had lost my mojo. I was still crafting, but doing and trying other things. I purchased a Cricut machine and was making things with that, I also bought a new sewing machine too, So have been sewing things. 

Anyway back last October I broke my ankle quite badly and ended up in plaster for 6 weeks. As I live in a tower block I had to have a risk assessment by my landlord just in case there was a fire and how would I get out. One of the things that came out of this was that I own too many crafty things 😊. So I decided to see if I had my mojo back with the cardmaking. It's coming back slowly, but I'm getting there. So I will blog some of the cards I have made recently.

So another thing on my list to do was to reactivate my blog and give it a makeover and a new name. Which is what I have been doing today. I'm not sure if this will be the final version, but the new name won't change. I just need to figure out how to change the blogspot.com link.

So I will be blogging some of my crafts and not just cards here to give inspiration.

Decorated Wooden Heart

Hi Friends

Where has the last month gone? I can't believe it's been that long since my last post. I put it down to being away for most of the holidays and not getting any crafting done!

Anyway I did manage to make this decorated wooden heart. I made this for myself which makes a change as normally I give most things away. Anyway I hope you like it.....

The details are:
The heart came from The Works.
The flowers mostly came from Wild Orchid Crafts.
The wooden love also came from a set from The Works which I coloured with a Promarker.
The spirals and pearls are from Aliexpress.
My favourite sentiment is an Inkylicious one and I love it!
The paper is from an old Papermania one and is 8x8.

'Sweet'

Happy Sunday evening friends.

I've spent the weekend creating and catching up on some creations I have had to make. Also I have opened an Etsy shop here. I have so much things made up that I thought I would try and see if I can recoup some pennies! I can only but try.

Anyway I have made the following card, I haven't coloured for a while and I thoroughly enjoyed doing it, I need more practice though.

Penny Farthing

Hi Friends

Where has the last couple of weeks gone? I Know I was away for a week dog sitting for friends. It was good to get away from noisy neighbours and the delights of living in a tower block! Here is a pic of the lovely Rosie I was looking after. We enjoyed walking through Belfairs Woods in Leigh-on-Sea, it's lovely there and Rosie enjoyed cooling off in the brook. 

Plus, now I'm home I've made a card for a challenge over on Docrafts. I enjoy joining in with the challenges on there as I find less pressure and it gives me new ideas on creating. The challenge was for the 'It's a Man's World Challenge' and the brief was to use a form of transport. Well I had this die for a while and it gave me a chance to use it. I'm really pleased with how well the card turned out (considering I hate doing men's cards.) So here it is.

The details are: Marianne Designs Penny Farthing die cut using corrugated card, then flattened through the Big Shot to give a wood effect, the happy birthday die is unbranded, the ribbon is from Kayes textiles and the pearls are from my stash.
